What You Do

• Start your tutoring sessions early in the semester and continue on a regular basis.
• Attend all classes and take thorough notes. Your notes will be used by the tutors to explain any questions you have and to help you understand your assignments.
• Bring your notes, textbook, calculator, assignment, patience, and sense of humor to each tutoring session.
• Remember that the tutors ARE STUDENTS NOT INSTRUCTORS. Be prepared for the tutor to work methodically through your notes and text and then explain the material to you. The tutors will not have all the answers all the time. They cannot predict what will be asked on tests.
• Sign-up in advance for appointments whenever possible. This allows us to monitor Clinic use and employ enough tutors to provide you with the best possible service. Call ext 7068 to let us know if you are unable to make your appointment.
